Neighborhood Watch Alert – April 5, 2019
In the early morning hours of Wednesday April 3, 2019, a group of individuals came through our Cambridge Gardens neighborhood, as well as several surrounding neighborhoods, looking for unlocked vehicles. It seems that they only hit unlocked vehicles. Most victims don’t even know that they were hit. New Castle County Police were contacted and investigated, and they have made routine checks of our neighborhood since the incident.
Be sure to lock your doors!
If you see anything suspicious, report it. Call 911 in an emergency. Alert your neighbors by reporting suspicious activity to the Facebook Community Page.

High priority of the Neighborhood Watch Program is notification alerts to all neighbors. The ‘Neighbors by Ring’ app is a good system. Details are available at https://shop.ring.com/pages/neighbors. It is free and download for Android and iPhone. Registration is free, and you don’t need a Ring device to use. Under Settings, you can select the area that you want notifications from, what type of notifications, and the time you want notifications delivered. Everyone is encouraged to download, and at least try this app.
